I've been to a couple games at Camp Randall and they are a blast. One game comes to mind as a kinda funny story. I saw Penn State-Wis in 2009. Wis ends up losing something like 46-3, but after leaving the stadium and finding a bar on State street, you would have thought they just accomplished one of the biggest upsets in school history. You bet. Madison is a GREAT college town! I love their liberal thinking … concening beer drinking.Gameday at Camp Randall is great....Madison is an awesome time anytime of the year. Their student section is great as well...this is probably one of the only places that compares to gameday in Lincoln. Not going to lie, gameday in Madison is insane. City-wide, it's a much better experience than Lincoln. In Camp Randall it is at least comparable. Plus it's a fairly short drive (7-hours) so you can trip up there after a half-day on Friday and make it for a Saturday kick-off.
Never been to UW Madison on gameday but I’ll bet it’s a blast.
Fantastic college town, fantastic bar scene on State street.....every Husker I know would love the trip.
