Nyatawa's Stats - Taylor's Targets/Catches

International Man of Mystery
According to Jon Nyatawa of the OWS, via Twitter, here are Taylor's targets and the resulting catches thus far this year.

Bell: 40 targets (23 catches)

Kinnie 36 (19)

Enunwa 28 (15)

Turner 23 (13)

Cotton 22 (13)

Burkhead: 19 (15)

Reed: 18 (13)

Marlowe 16 (9)

Cooper 8 (4)

Legate 4 (3)

Green (2) 1

Just think what those numbers would look like if balls that should have been caught were actually caught. Might be bordering on somewhat impressive.

Not to dog the man, but except for a couple vs Mich St, I'm having a hard time recalling 19 for Kinnie.............

Reed clearly needs to be targeted more. If he's not hurt, we are WAY underutilizing him.

And if you like percentages, here:

Catching %

Bell 57.5%

Kinnie 52.7%

Enunwa 53.5%

Turner 56.5%

Cotton 59.0%

Burkhead 78.9%

Reed 72.2%

Marlowe 56.3%

Cooper 50%

Legate 75%

Green 50%

That's because they've all been that damn yard and a half hitch quick toss.

Yep, BK, Bell, Turner, etc.....we've had "lots" of them.

These stats don't take into consideration the number of catchable balls each player has dropped. That could give us a better understanding of which guys truly have the dropsies.

Enunwa has only dropped about 3 catchable passes all season whereas Kinnie and Bell have been drive killers at important times this year.

I wonder if he's saying you're wrong because he's presuming you're showing their percentage of all passes, and not each players' individual drop percentages?

It's becuase you didn't round up on some of those. For example, Kinnie percentage is 52.77777777778%, so you rounded down instead of up, so your wrong. :LOLtartar

Correct. That analysis only works if you assume all of Martinez's passes are on target.

(hahahaha)

Edit: Actually, don't know if I agree with what you said, knapp. At first glance I did, but when I read it carefully I don't think I understand what you meant.
