Is Iowa a Rivalry for Nebraska?

What's funny is Iowa's antics against Nebraska lead to a pretty motivated Wandale in that game.

We most definitely consider you a rival.  Hell - most the of the games have been close and come down to the very end so even with one side winning a lot, it's not like they have been blowout games.  The fact that many in the Nebraska fanbase continue to look down on Iowa even with Iowa owning a 5 year win streak just adds fuel to the fire.  For many it is friendly, but there is some hate there for sure with some people.

I used to think it was a rivalry but now I'm not sure Nebraska is competitive enough for it to be a rivalry. 

 
There is a longer history for Iowa vs ISU, Minn, Wisc so I get it.

I don't mind this being our rival game.  We will win one and then things will really heat up between the 2 states.

I hate losing to Iowa but I almost dread the day that we finally win one and then the worst of our fanbase immediately starts talking some obnoxious delusional big game more :lol:  

 
I hope we win in Dublin. Let’s do that first. 

Iowa can suck it.  But until we beat them it’s not a rivalry besides our, *my,  extreme dislike for them beating us every f’ing year. It’s gonna take us beating them and needing a win against them for us to advance to the B1G ‘ship for me to feel like a true rivalry. Do that 7-8 times over the next decade and we’ll be true rivals, to me. Until then, let’s just win one freakin game at a time. By then I’ll be in my 50s and happy to be alive and lovin my Huskers….and rest easy knowing Iowa is the 2nd class program we stepped on our way back to our glory.

Some of the best rivalries in sports are dominated by one side.  I want to beat Iowa as bad as anyone.  But, to say it's not a rivalry because we've lost so many against them doesn't hold up when looking at other major rivalries.
