But you didn’t go 10-2. You went 8-4 because your offense sucks.
Your defense is awesome. Your special teams units are usually amazing. But your offenses perennially suck, and that’s why you lost four games and didn’t sniff the playoffs.
Even Sun Belt school Arkansas State and 3-9 Colorado put up more points than Iowa did against Iowa State.

You clearly didn't watch the Oregon game or the Indiana game which is understandable. It's ok. Iowa averaged 28.9 points a game this year, more than sufficient. Yes the offense struggled in a few of those games. Turnovers and missed field goals played a large part in the losses. This is not the Iowa offense from the Brian Ferentz era.

Which should have resulted in NOT duplicating last year's results. The reason you did exactly that is because your HC plays "not to lose". Why that self-defeatism doesn't bother you is a mystery.
The Michigan St game was embarrassing for sure, even though we won in the end. There was no explanation for why Gronowski played as poorly as he did. I don't put that on Kirk, nor do I put the Oregon game or Indiana game on Kirk. The gameplan was there, some players just didn't execute in the moment. We played as well against Indiana as anyone this year, just missed an opportunity at the end.

The simple fact is we have lost 10 of 11 to Iowa. And they are such a boring team. This year they hung 40 on us, and won.
2 previous we lost 10-13, and those are still wins.
I can’t stand Iowa and their fan base, but until we win 13-10 or 40-10, I’ll give them their due…..against us. Otherwise, screw them and their boring football.

I now know that when iowa gets beat, it is not really a loss, because of so many different excuses. And it appears when they win, it was "the strategy" that got them the win.
Pretty sure I said we blew it, we didn't execute, but ok. I just said I didn't put the blame on Kirk. But sure, make up whatever fits your narrative.

Using your theory, it is never the coaches fault.
Great point. He has more conference wins in Lincoln than your 3 most recent coaches, but clearly he's still trying to figure things out. Hopefully he turns things around soon!
