Two things need to happen on Oct. 16 and we could have one of the best recruiting class in Nebraska history.

1) A win in a great game.

2) Warmer than usual weather.

Considering this winter is supposed to be worse than last year, I'm pretty sure we'll be playing in snow.

Don't like one game getting so much hype, tends to backfire on the team doing the hyping, but geez this one is important.

I think I recall Bo saying he only wanted to bring in 5 or 7 recruits a week because that was all he could give his attention to. I dont know the number, but I think he said that about a year ago.

Maybe hes got new rules now.
This game is being touted as the game of the year. Winner of this game sets themselves up for a run at the national title. The winner will be a top 3 team and undefeated possibly. The winner will be half way thru their schedule and if they run the table the rest of the season, they would be a sure lock to represent half of the MNC game.

I think Bo will have a lot of high profile recruits at this game. The commitments will come from some on the fence. Some will already be committed but taking an official visit to watch the game of the year.

There are a lot of storylines for this matchup. Approx 7 weeks away. I can't wait.

I am going to guess at 12 to 14 recruits for this game.

This isn't “official," but it's about as close as you can get concerning TV coverage of Big 12 football and kickoff times.
The Oct. 16 Texas at Nebraska game is on track to be televised on ABC at 2:30 p.m.

“That's the most likely scenario," a person with direct knowledge of the situation said Friday.

That deep into the season, the Big 12 television partners pick either 12 days or six days before a game, and slot them into morning, afternoon or evening windows. Those parameters will apply to Texas-Nebraska.

But here's why ABC at 2:30 p.m. looks like the spot:

• Many fans assumed the game would be played in prime time. But ABC is committed to showing NASCAR's Bank of America 500 in Charlotte, N.C., at 6:30 that night.

• There is no crossover ESPN evening window available to the Big 12 that night.

• ABC has very few 11 a.m. national windows this season, and it has given no notice that it would open such a spot on Oct. 16.

That leaves ABC with its 2:30 p.m. time slot with the first selection, and Texas-Nebraska is clearly the Oct. 16 game of the day.

Again, it's not official. Don't schedule your wedding around it. But 2:30 p.m. looks like the time.
Isnt official, but if 2:30 is kick-off then expect a major number of kids there.
