Octavien's status

Updates from other sites and other sources say that he's only going to be out a week or less. Good news!!! But I'll wait and finally exhale when it comes straight from Cally's mouth...

 
If Octavien didn't have any bad luck, he wouldn't have any luck at all. Man, I feel for him. I know he wanted to be healthy this season. This sucks.

 
Having your appendix out SUCKS!
I had mine out, I found it early so it hadn't exploded or anything. But still having a few holes cut in your abdomen isn't fun. You don't realize how much you use your abs to do, well, really any movement.

It took me a few weeks to get over it, but when he comes out of it it's going to feel like someone hit him in the stomach with a sledgehammer :( I don't se ewhy they wouldn't do it using arthroscopy. Much, much shorter recovery time than cutting a very large hole.

Are you sure that was your appendix, or possibly one of those W1ngs you inhaled last season.... :dunno

 
Callaha confirmed it on LJS. Good news, he expects him back Friday, and in the lineup by the opener.

This is great news, hell even if he were to sit out part of next week to recover, it would be great. Just as long as Steve is on the field this year.

 
I want to see him against SC. With his speed, I think the running backs will have trouble running against him. I'm pretty excited to see him back on the field.

 
And avoid wing-orama-fests with Daveh & DJR in the meantime..

I assume this is outpatient surgery and the MDs stick some type of instrument in him instead of cutting him open. You would think it would be a much longer recovery if it was the latter.
