Octavien's status

I want to see him against SC. With his speed, I think the running backs will have trouble running against him. I'm pretty excited to see him back on the field.
Definitely...we got to have guys like Octavien ready to go for this game. He will be a difference maker and keep this game close.

As long as the front seven plays like they can, we have a chance to win this game. If they don't put pressure on Booty or Sanchez, they have the chance to pick us apart with the trouble in our secondary. I think the front seven will put pressure, and make it tough for the quarterback to have a huge day.

Kid can't buy a break, can he? :madash
he has the luck of Wily E. Coyote. at this rate, when he leaves the hospital he's probably gonna get hit on the head with a big-a$$'d anvil with the giant leters "A C M E" written on the side of it.

I was gonna say I didn't think it took that long to recover from that as long as it's caught before it burst. Good thing he'll be back!

Just heard that Callahan said he could be running by Friday, and in pads by Monday.
I just hope they don't rush him and have some sort of lingering injury. There is still time, even if he sits out all next week and starts practicing for game week. I just want to see him on the field.

Linebacker Steve Octavien had his appendix removed Tuesday night, Bill Callahan said today. But the prognosis appears good. Callahan said Octavien should be back running by Friday and should be ready for the Sept. 2 opener. We'll assume this doesn't turn into another Jordan Adams situation...

Also, Matt Slauson is back at right tackle. He spent most of fall camp at right guard, but had a couple of series at right tackle on Tuesday, then played at the position exclusively on Wednesday. That means Chris Patrick is at left tackle in a co-No. 1 situation with Lydon Murtha, and that Mike Huff is with the ones at right guard in place of Slauson. Austin is still at left guard, with Christensen as his backup, and Mann at center

stevie O is a tough kid.......that little old "belly button" incision isn't going to stop him.......he will be back soon........heal fast Steve!

When I had mine out, there were three incisions. Either way, he'll be fine! :)

I am really surprised to see Austin with the first team. I didn't think his knees were well enough to take another full season. Just thought he would play some spot duty, a series here or a series there. His knees must be better than I thought.

i dont like how this injury was reported on rivals "is octavien out?" ghey man just say minor freaking surjury or he got his tonsels taken out good freakin lord.
