Linebacker Steve Octavien was mauled by a panda bear shortly after he was discharged from a local hospital. Octavian had previously been hospitalized to remove his appendix, but was quickly re-admitted after the attack.
"WTH?!?" Bill Callahan said today. "Are Pandas even indigenous to Nebraska?!?"
Octavien is now resting in stable condition. When asked what it felt like to be attack by large omnivore, Octavien said the pain was somewhere beteen getting his leg broken and standing between breaking a leg and standing between Defensive End Adam Carriker and the last t-bone on the training table.
"Boy loves his steak," chuckled Octavien. "I found that out the hard way."
But the young man from Florida remained optimistic for the rest of the season.
"I've got the whole year ahead of me," exclaimed Octavien. "i'm looking fowar-!"
Octavien was cut off suddenly when a grand piano from out of nowhere was dropped on him and he spontaneously burst into flame.
