I was treading water about 1/2 down the Newport Beach pier just riding the swells when I happened to look down in the water(40ft deep approx) a large 15-20foot shadow gliding about 10 feet below me. I probably did a 10flat 100 with stink bait trailing me all the way to shore. Didnt time the wave going into the beach and somersaulted onto the beach with the accompanying sand rash. Havent been back in since. 1 good strong sign all I need.
