***OFFICIAL 2014 COLLEGE FOOTBALL DISCUSSION THREAD***

LOL Mizzou beats SC. SEC dominance yall! Indiana beats Mizzou at home...and then gets blown out by Maryland. I dont buy this SEC BS!

Yet you were fighting with SU all night. Good idea on that ACC schedule.
We commited 5 turnovers on the road (with a few drops that we recovered) and it wasn't a one score game after the first. That's how you tell a team doesn't belong on the same field.

In other news, Gurley had been pretty uninspiring in the games I've watched. Sat out nearly all the second half of the South Carolina game and a lot of today's game. But hell, he's SEC - deserves the heisman.
Ya. 10 yards/carry is pretty bad.
he was absolutely shut down til midway through the 4th where he got two huge runs. But I mean yeah gassed or not it's all the same I suppose.
I don't know how many yards/carry he got in today's game. That # is his average in the first games he played. I know the SEC is overrated but that doesn't mean he doesn't absolutely deserve to be considered a top 5 heisman candidate at this point.
First games he played, which is diluting the fact that he hardly even played in the second half against South Carolina. So the sample set is now a game against Clemson (granted he was great this game) and Troy (who could make a second string back look like a front-runner). Pretty easy at that point to have good numbers. The Heisman should be give to an every down player, someone who does everything he can for the team. With that said, I'd put Ameer and Gordon above Gurley. Thus my reasoning for the comment earlier.

How far has Texas fallen when it wins a game and gets the opposing coach fired?
