I really like McDonough and Blackledge as an announcing crew.
But they're second-guessing West Virginia for not kicking deep and playing defense in a 59-56 game that has nearly 1400 yards of offense. Where were they expecting the defense to suddenly come from?
And then Blackledge references West Virginia going for it on 4th down earlier in the game instead of kicking a field goal as three points they could use at the end of the game. As it happened they both agreed with West Virginia going for it because "field goals aren't going to win this game".
I wonder if people hated watching Nebraska play in '95. Because I hate watching Alabama play this season. It's not fun when a team is that much better than everyone else. Back when they were great at defense and mediocre to decent on offense, they were okay to watch because at least teams sometimes looked like they had a chance.
