Bowl schedule released, plus Big Ten bowl tie-in rundown






Here are a reminder of the Big Ten bowl tie-ins:

1. Rose Bowl vs. Pac-12 (Big Ten champion unless that champ qualifies for the CFP Playoff, then everyone in the league scoots up one chair)

2. Citrus Bowl vs. ACC or SEC

3. Outback Bowl vs. SEC

4. San Diego Country Credit Union Holiday Bowl vs. Pac-12.

There's an agreement to have five different teams in six years, so if it can be avoided, Nebraska would likely not be on the short list for the Holiday Bowl since the Huskers played in San Diego after the 2014 season.

5. TaxSlayer Bowl vs. SEC -OR- the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl vs. SEC

It's expected to be the TaxSlayer Bowl tie-in given the Big Ten's involvement in the Music City Bowl the last three years.

New Era Pinstripe Bowl vs. ACC

Redbox Bowl vs. Pac-12

Formerly the Foster Farms Bowl, the Huskers likely wouldn't be picked for this one given they had played here in 2015 against UCLA.

Quick Lane Bowl vs. ACC

Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl vs. Mountain West
