***Official 2024 College Football Thread***

THE Ohio State University.  LMBO.  19 point favorite and tOSU loses to Michigan for the 4th year in a row.  Good thing they own Maryland and Rutgers, or they wouldn't be a top 3 team every year and penciled into the playoffs.  

I wish the committe would take a stance for once and say "Nah, Ohio State, you got all the love all year long, and enjoyed beating the little people.  I'm sorry but you had your chance.  All you had to do this year was lose once - to Oregon - beat everyone else - and play in the Conference Championship game.  Your resume is not qualified to be a playoff team.  Maybe next year.  Because you and Bama both blew it this year.  We will accept Oregon, PSU and Indiana.

BYU leading Houston 21-10.  Middle of 3rd QTR.

If BYU loses this game, Colorado will play Arizona State in the Big 12 champ game.  And winner of that will be in the CFPlayoffs  :o

If BYU wins, then Iowa State will play Arizona State in the Big 12 champ game.

Need BYU to win tonight or I will be sick.

Tulane -4.5 vs Army

Boise State -5 vs UNLV

Saturday - 

Big XII Championship 

Iowa State -1 vs Arizona State

SEC Championship 

Texas -1.5 vs Georgia

Oregon -3.5 vs Penn State

ACC Championship 

Clemson -1.5 vs SMU

 
With OSU\Michigan  Florida \FSU, UNC\NC State all having shoving matches and fights after the game , I'm sure the NCAA is preparing emails and rule changes about planting your schools flag on an opponents field. My question is what do you do? If it is suspensions you'll just have a third string guy plant the flag, fines won't affect players,

Texas just had the big 12 institute a new rule that no opposing team is allowed to go near their 50 before or after the game.

 
Start fining all of the rich college kids.

I guess none of this bothers me to much.  Kids will be kids.  But where was the adults?  Ryan Day was too busy wondering how much he could get for his house in this market.

 
As a proud Sun Devil alum, I am thrilled with them making it to the Big 12 Championship game. I know that the conference was extremely weak this year, but they went from being picked to finish last in the conference to playing for the championship and a birth in the playoffs. This was such an unexpected year, and I'm very excited to see what the coach is able to do to build upon this year. If I'm being honest, I'm also kind of happy that the game isn't against CU...
