RGIII and Sam Ponder out at ESPN. Both with a year left on their contracts.  I moderately liked them both.

I don’t understand the timing or the business side of it. Seems like an odd time

There are whispers that there are more levels to it.  The timing would seem to make that plausible.

Sumthin happened. It’s not like ESPN is the at the top of the telecasting pile anymore and I’m sure the contract payouts will bite.

unless they’re going to a bigger pond and ESPN doesn’t have to pay?  Or…. Come on Mav, I’m fishing. Don’t make me go to Reddit. Lol.

Just read an article about the two who were fired, they both are married to athletes that attended Free Shoes U. It didn't say that explicitly but alluded to it.

I read something about a disagreement with Firebaum.  That seems weird.

I do not know what Free Shoes U is.

Maybe they had big checks on the payroll, when if we are being honest, if they got terminated and nobody said anything about it, no one would notice.

I mean, in 2 or 3 years someone might say "Whatever happened to RG3 doing college football games".

And nobody cares about Sam Ponder in the last 5-10 years or whenever she started reporting from the sideline.
