Surprised it's not Texas, at least in Texas. Also surprised it's NC State and not North Carolina. And not sure why Miami is so popular in Maine.

For as much as UT dominates the talk, A&M is the bigger school - the biggest school in the country, in fact. NC State's overall athletic department revenue is only slightly less than UNC's, and their football revenue is a bit higher than UNC's. As for Miami in Maine, my only guess is snow birds.

Did a little more checking on numbers, and one that surprised me: NC State's average home attendance in the last five years is #4 in the ACC, and they're actually ahead of Miami.
