Mike Elko contract extension: Texas A&M finalizing massive deal with Aggies coach

Texas A&M and Mike Elko are finalizing a deal that should be great news for the Aggies

For people suggesting contracts need to be incentive based, and not large guaranteed values. aTm is moving Elko from the former to the latter to keep him. I don't see how you won't lose coaches if you try the incentive based method, some other school is just gonna pay more every time.

First, it's probably not quite the same thing on a second contract, after they have proven themselves enough that you want to sign them to a big extension.

Second, I don't know that the incentives in his current contract are anywhere close to the big incentives we've been talking about.
 
That would have been a bad look if A&M had lost. I started watching at 30-17. Looks like A&M had gifted them turnovers because South Carolina did absolutely nothing, abysmal football. What’s up with the state of South Carolina football? Clemson and South Carolina are way down. Let’s go in there and clean up!

Sure, but I just don't see coaches agreeing to big incentives if another school is providing guarantees. All it takes it a couple schools to not buy into this incentive model and it doesn't work ya know?
 
Alabama can’t run the ball, loss.
Texas can’t run the ball, loss.

Georgia runs the ball, wins.
Ole Miss runs the ball, wins.

I think Lane Kiffen finally figured it out. Running the ball wins games.

I think Georgia and Ole Miss will be tough outs in the playoff.

By the way, we have run the ball much better this year, have better results.
 
On Bama's second touchdown they snapped the ball while most of the line was standing up pointing at people etc. I thought it would be called as a false start/formation penalty, but apparently it is OK? Do they just need their feet set?
