So he is suing to receive credit for what will eventually be several million dollars in losses after a painful year or two? 

 
So, Johnny Football just got kicked out of the CFL for violating the rules of his contract (therapists, bipolar meds, etc.). So now there's a chance he'll end up in the AAF, playing for Mike Riley.


 
People need to stop acting like they give a damn why Manziel was kicked out of the CFL.  The AAF and XFL are going to need butts in the seats and eyes on the screen and Manziel will do that at least in the short term.

Per a source with knowledge of the league’s plans, games will be played this weekend, Week Eight of the inaugural season. Beyond this weekend, however, it’s entirely possible that the plug will be pulled.


The problem arises from the upstart league’s inability to come to an agreement that would result in certain NFL players being available to the AAF. The NFL is willing to allow players who sign “futures” contracts after the conclusion of a given season to play in the AAF. The NFL Players Association has not yet agreed to the terms of what would amount to a modification of the labor deal between the NFL and the players’ union.

How is it possible that you go to all this work and spend all this money and not even get through a full season let alone make it work for a couple years to see if it gains traction?

It’s stupid to think you can start another football league in the us. How many times has it been tried and failed?

Every time it’s attempted, they think the key is to relax rules and go extreme. Football is a very traditional sport like baseball. Plus, the market is saturated with college and the nfl. 

Its a fall and and winter sport. Nobody cares about going to games this time of year. It’s basketball and start of baseball season. Plus, if the weather is nice people are golfing.
