The jersey's by themselves aren't terrible but they don't work with the usual helmets/pants. Nothing like Kansas football to do something half-@$$.

I don't think those are supposed to be blood stains. The blue section has the same pattern. I think they were going for a "weathered" look

I might be wrong, but that's not blood. It gives it the appearance of being weathered and torn.

Could be. You can also see a little bit of it in blue on the white stars now that I look a little closer.
