Adidas and Texas State tried to do something bold. They fell flat on their faces.
The Bobcats are looking for a turnaround year after winning five total games the last two years. They'll be led by second-year head coach Everett Withers -- a former North Carolina and Ohio State assistant -- and Mississippi State transfer Damian Williams at quarterback.
And their quest to Sun Belt relevancy will include some atrocious all-gold uniforms. The individual parts of the uniforms -- white helmet with silver logo, gold pants and gold jersey -- are not bad. However, when combined, it creates a bizarre outfit that looks more like a gymnastic leotard than a college football uniform.
Oh, and the numbers and letters light up for some reason?
It's getting to where I can't remember what some of these team's real uniforms look like. If Maryland spent as much on facilities and recruiting as they do on getting dressed badly...
