CU fans on Reddit are way over Deion and Co. They want him gone already to move on to a real coach. I think the buyout is prohibitive, and aren't they paying a couple ex coaches still as well?
Oh yeah, financially they’re in a bad situation to just eat it. But it sort of seems like they could be getting into “for cause” territory with all the crap he says and does. IDK, maybe nothing blatant enough yet. Oh well, bad choices have consequences I guess.

I don’t have much respect for CU the institution but I am a bit surprised they’re just letting this farce of a circus play out. I guess they have to wring every dime they can get out of Sanders celebrity before they can worry about the damage being done to their football program and reputation.
IMO you hit the nail on the head - I think the CU administration is getting much of what they wanted out of this partnership with Deion. I read some article the other day about how much viewership they're getting and the economic impact the games have been having in Boulder - it has been making a lot of people happy and wealthy, a far cry from where they were a few seasons ago and really since their joining of the Pac 12.

Obviously, they would want the team to win eventually. Colorado isn't like Nebraska with a bunch of committed fans who will pay their way through consistently bad seasons. The Sanders money train will eventually derail if they keep getting results like this over several seasons. But honestly, I'm not really sure how much CU cares. Colorado really hasn't been that relevant in the mid-2000's and they're incredibly relevant, interesting, and financially successful. If Deion doesn't work out they'll go hire someone else and still probably walk out feeling like Deion made them successful... at least from certain points of view.

Can't remember if I already mentioned it somewhere but their NDSU highlights had 2.5MM views, our UTEP highlights had 250K. I'm sure they've sold a s#!tLOAD of merchandise too, have sold way more tickets, have maybe even gotten a lot more donations to their school, etc. But yes that will definitely start to dry up soon.

This is hilarious because during the game I literally mentioned it out loud when I saw a Louis Vuitton bag behind the Colorado bench. I was not looking for it, but it's the only time I've ever seen that near a football team's bench before.

Yep there you have it - it's pretty telling. That's interesting so thank you for sharing.

IMO where CU has been since the mid-2000's... and just the type of program they are... all in all they're still probably loving the partnership.

Absolutely wild to me that the AD gave Will free reign to do whatever he wants creatively with these and that they're on board with playing them in the stadium.

That being said, it goes hard as f***
They're smart to allow the free reign in creating the content, however they are doing some filtering and would surely pull anything that crossed certain lines. Though it has worked out for the first two games, I just hope it doesn't turn into being too gimmicky.

That is absolutely awesome, really wish I could have been there. Compton knocked it out of the park with this one. The video Lewan posted showing the crowd doing the recall chant back super loud gave me chills, man I miss going to games in Memorial Stadium.
