No, he misses short, the return man fields it and returns it for a TD. That is the worst that could've happened.

So T-Mart throwing another pass is a reasonable alternative?

It was a 62-yard attempt. Maher may be a great kicker, but 62 yards is asking a LOT for any kicker, of any league. The safer play was actually the hail mary.

And given Taylor's propensity for fumbling, there was always the chance he fumbles it, Fresno picks it up and runs it in. At least if Maher attempts and make the kick, the crowd would hopefully come back to life.

Fresno is the best team in the nation at blocking field goals. A blocked field goal can easily be returned 40 yards from there for a TD.

But I wish he woulda let him try, woulda been badass!
