Official HB Good Beer Thread

Just bought my son a Guinness Christmas present. 4 etched crystal glasses, a Black and Tan pour thru and a 5 pack each of Guinness Stout and Golden Ale. As for me I'm still drikin' 'Stones. I know I'm just a cheap old $hit.

It's not cheap, but damn is it good, especially if you like bourbon. And it's currently relevant for those in Lincoln since The Still should have some now. I think at some point in the next few months they're getting in the Bourbon Barrel Breakfast Stout, too.

sd-sker: Wisconsin I think. It's from CO but they don't distribute to Nebraska. It's good. Probably not as good as Claymore though.

Obert: where are you? O'dell IPA or Ranger are available most places in Nebraska. Both are solid.

ranger is what got me into ipa's and trying beers other than bud.

i like redhook long hammer ipa myself. good price and i really enjoy the taste.

 
Bismarck,nd. IPAs are a little hard to find here. We go back to Sioux Falls and home NE nebraska often though.

ranger is pretty prominent. i like big sky a lot, but their pygmy owl itty bitty ipa is a pretty weak ipa. good enough flavor, but it tastes like a light beer ipa. their big sky ipa is pretty darn good, imo.

 
Crow peak out of spearfish,sd has a good one too. 11th hour. Agree big sky's pretty decent. Usually what I get up here.

Looking forward to trying this on Friday. The taphouse a few blocks from my son's house is pouring these beers on a special barrel aged tap takeover day. I may have to sleep on his couch.
