I watched the first period of the Blackhawks - Wings. It looked really bad for the Wings at the very beginning but then it seemed like they were getting in their groove. I guess that didn't last long.

That hit reminds me of the type of play in football where the receiver/ball carrier is ducking down and gets hit in the head. It's not the other guy's fault he hit him in the head. I guess one could say there was a little bit of an elbow, but I don't see much that would warrant a suspension.

I know! My jaw dropped when I heard them announce that last night! That wasn't near as bad as Abdelkader's from Detroit and he only got 2 games! NO CONSISTENCY!

Jonathan Quick is human apparently. Sharks got robbed on that delay penalty. Looked like it hit the Kings player. Either way, that was a fun game to watch last night.

Coming back from the concert in the city tonight, listening to NHL radio on sirius, the two announcers were ridiculing Shanahan for his weak sense of judgement on these suspensions...
