What worries me about the Blueshirts, isn't the lack of home games, but the lack of help from the blue liners...

Henry's getting peppered back there, and they need to fix that problem asap...

He's givin' it up like GSG's sister out there. They said this D would be a problem earlier on. Better get it fixed quick or it will be a long season.

Has to be. They're giving up to many SOG's compared to the number they are taking. It seems the opposing team is able to stay in our zone way more that we are in theirs. Has to be the different sets were in, and that is a coaching problem.

I concur, which makes me wonder a few things...

If they get home, and keep playing this poorly, whats the over/under on Vigneault getting canned? Makes you wonder if the Rangers heirarchy is wishing they'd have hired Ruff? Furthermore, I wonder if they're wondering if they stepped on their richard by firing Torts, who is 7-4-1 with the Canucks...

Stat o the day, the Rangers have a -19 goal differential through 8 games, which is worst in the NHL...

I would have preferred to have had Ruff as opposed to Vigneault. Would still take Torts over Vigneault.

And yes. If they continue to play poorly, they will fire him.

My question is, how long of a leash does he have, and if they do let him go, who do they bring in? Laviolette?

Maybe about a third of season, maybe a half. Not sure who would replace him, though.

I guess they could think about a higher draft position, too.

I'm going to say if this level of play keeps up, he'll be gone by thanksgiving...

That will give them a little less than 2/3rds of the season to try and make the playoffs...

I was just looking at who the assistant coaches were, and got a blast from the past, one of them is Ulf Samuelsson...

Put him on the ice. He might be able help knock some the scoring threats out of the game for us.
