The deficit right now can only be attributed to the staff's schemes and play calling.

One has to seriously think this is in direct correlation to the "controversy" MRI and the other 2 started. Whether it was right or wrong is up to whoever's judgement but regardless it has obviously (in my opinion) had an affect on the team.

Speculation of course....

I would agree on the speculation. The distraction of Sam and Williams, IMO, would rally the team. I am sure some on the team disagreed with the knee. As evidenced by this board and national reaction, it's a pretty polarizing issue. The team has probably felt the weight of it. Interviews about it, threats about it etc....
