*** Official Iowa Game Thread ***

Next years schedule sets up nicely. Need Caleb Tannor to develop as a pass rusher & Daniels or Fair to be a good nose. Then we can slim down Khalil and Carlos by about 10 lbs and let them lose on the edge. No Young or Freedom. Also need another true WR. And my final Christmas wish is for Benhart to start and slide Farniok at OG.

And all other teams know this.

1. Third and short and we will play way off and a gentle jog to the sticks will get you a first 

2. Third and long and we probably blow a coverage.   

Give him one more year,  if these same issues happen throw his desk in a dumpster and give him a one way bus fair 

 
On the 4th down play the announcers said the tight end ran hard deep and stopped to come back. I haven't seen the route but it would make sense given the rain in an effort to get the defender to slip.

Maybe Reed wasn't playing off, but was driven off by the route.

 
That was a tough one. We could convince ourselves that we should’ve won the game. 

The way I felt this game was going midway through the 3rd....I’m proud of how it ended up. 

Defense doesnt have the players, but they came up with some big stops. Martinez is turning into a man child (reminds me of a better throwing Vince Young).

That’s the last time Iowa will beat us until we start taking a victory over them for granted after dominating them for years.

It’s a petty comment, trying to piss on their win.

Remember, at the end of the day, these are college kids. A senior redeems his earlier miss. Why shouldn’t he celebrate? Guess our guys should’nt have celebrated in the snow last week because we beat Michigan state. 

If anything, it was our bowl game, given our record. 

 
This sucks. Moral, fan enthusiasm, recruiting, etc. would all have been mile high after finishing the season 5-1. At least we didn't get blown out.

 
I have been quiet on Chin all year and I'm still not saying fire him, but we've gotta do better on 3 and 4th downs. I know his defense is zone based but you have to have an answer and not be playing 10 yards off on a 4th and 8. The defense needs a lot more talent, but that's a fundamental failure on the scheme.
