We simply can’t afford to have Iowa possess the ball for 8-9 minutes at a time...chin needs to earn our hard earned money and find a way to stop Iowa.

Good question, better talent helps of course but some of  chins play calls baffle me

Yes

With talent upgrades we can play less zone.

I'm becoming a huge fan of this kid.  Keep working in the off season and we have a special kid.

This is the upside to Frost's trust philosophy.  Some kids truly get better.  The cut-of-cloths like Lightburn?   They need to go away.  Pickering is a warrior...

IMO, it can certainly work better than it is. There are quite a few things they haven't been able to do defensively this year like play effective man-to-man coverage in the secondary because they just don't have the horses to do it. I also think there are still examples every game where some players still look a little bit slower and weaker than where they want them to be.

Idk what the ceiling is but I don't think they're close to it right now.

Honest question.  Why can't we have a D like Iowa.  Dominant DL.  Tied with INT's for the nation or 2nd.  2nd in the B1G with TO's and a plus 7 TO margin.....They stop teams and get TO's........why can't we get that?

Recruiting and Duval will get us there.
