My thoughts on the game...

We played well and did what we had to. This only confirms my belief we're a far superior home team than road team. That'll change over the next couple seasons though as we settle in more and our consistency picks up.

Brandon Jackson has incredible vision when running. I only hope everyone else is learning to have the same vision like he does. I remember watching him when he first started and now seeing how smart he runs is amazing.

Congdon is a good field goal kicker, but I wish we had someone that could consistently put our kickoffs into the endzone. Still, Congdon is pretty steady for us from 40 or so yards and in, so yay for him.

For the most part the play calling looked good and I think we managed the game well. Eating up 6+ minutes on some drives was essential to keeping Missouri's offense off the field. And our defense played pretty well, too.

Our wideouts can make some spectacular catches. Nunn and Swift had amazing grabs, apparently Purify can throw just like Lucky!

Fumbles are still an issue and I still think they need to be worked on more. I find myself thinking, "Hold on to the ball!" everytime we run it and that's not a good sign.

But, all in all a good game and a big win for us!

Oh yes, and this is not really Nebraska related, but I don't think it's possible to have two bigger idiots calling a game than we had for this one. They should be fired simply on the grounds of being too stupid to live.

Of our 412 total yards offense Jackson had 112 on the ground and 61 yards in the air for 42% of our total offense.

We passed the ball 22 times today and ran the ball 47 times. Jackson had 32 rushing attempts and 3 pass receptions. Of the total 69 plays we had Jackson either caught the ball or ran the ball on 51% of them.

No wonder Callahan is starting him now.

To stupid to live? Come on... Anyway yeah they did get tons of names wrong all day, and they called that Daniel sack reviewed play all wrong, but other than that I thought they were really fair compared to most of the announcers I've heard this year.

"Todd Dane can run the ball out of that backfield." Considering that's not his name and he hasn't run it since 2003, yeah that was a pretty stupid comment though.

When you have someone doubting if Louisville should move up to #3 over a Florida team because "Florida has been hanging there for so long"... Seriously, you have to wonder. Louisville beat the #3 team in the country and Florida has Vandy... That right there is grounds for moron of the year, imo. But anyway, that's prolly for another thread.

now you know why everyone hates the Houston Texans' broadcasts on the radio. the jerkoff Ware ABSOLUTELY has to have an opinion about every play, every point of the game.

he always butchers the names of the opposing team. the only team he doesn't butcher is Houston.

i love gary thorne, but i just think he's good with hockey and baseball and that's it. i think the only reason espn keeps him is because they probably will get hockey back soon.
