In order of most valuable to least:

Spurs: 31-37-21-28-25

Heat: 28-31-29-32-27

A 37 year old Duncan vs. a 28 year old LeBron is huge. Plus if the Spurs started the 35 year old Ginobli instead of the 25 year old Green - Ginoibili plays starters minutes - it looks a lot different.

I said the opposite. I asserted the Spurs starters' age looks better because they are starting the younger Green and bringing the older Ginobili off the bench.

I think the value is based off of starters. Manu comes off the bench

Their half-court offense is awful to watch when they run isolation plays. So much standing around. The Pacers stood around a lot too and they got off a ton of bad shots when they weren't under the basket. That's why it was so tough to watch. The Spurs are constantly moving, setting screens and making great passes. Anyone is a threat to score besides DeJuan Blair, who never sees the court anymore. The Heat do a good job too when they move the ball to their shooters, but they rely on isolation plays from James and Wade a lot. I just can't stand isolation plays and poor spacing with no movement. Just like oops and dunks, in the end, the 2 points are the same. I like it when teams play together and move the ball around to make the defense rotate and find the best shot possible. Another factor will be turnovers. When the Spurs turned it over to the Grizzlies and Warriors, it usually resulted in transition 3s or easy buckets at the end of the court. The Heat are the best team at feasting on teams mistakes. Thankfully the Spurs track record in moving the ball and having good ball security is really good so they need to negate the silly turnovers like the Pacers committed in Game 7 as much as possible to win.

LeBron is the best basketball player on the planet, no denying that. The Spurs will have to use the Kobe defense and let him go off points wise but make him a non-facilitator in terms of distributing the basketball. If the Heat role-players go off, the Heat will win. The Spurs will need to do a great job shutting down the role-players. LeBron will get his, and that's okay because he can't beat the Spurs by himself. Should be a great series.

I don't find Spurs basketball entertaining, but I do admire "Pop" and how he has transformed this team from a team that relied on defense in their early years of dominance, to now, where they rely on their offensive output to win them games.... The Heat can get complacent with their offensive sets, but nobody runs the fast break like they do. When they get in the open court it is extremely impressive what they can do. If I was the Spurs I would worry who is going to challenge Lebron at the rim. Duncan can't do it anymore. Splitter? Probably not. I would expect Leonard to guard Lebron much of the series, but can he keep him out of the paint? If Lebron can consistently get in the paint the Heat will win this series in 6 games. Once he gets in there, he'll either score, or facilitate for others (He is outstanding at both).... Should be fun!

 
I fully expect the Spurs to take this series because of their deep bench. Reminds me of the Dallas series a couple years back. Bringing Manu off the bench like Dallas did with jason Terry is a huge advantage. I'll take Parker over Chalmers. Gimme Duncan over Bosh. A hurting Wade and a spent Heat team leads to the Spurs in 6. All that said, Miami will probably win this cause I hate them so.

 
I can honestly say, I have absolutely NO clue what is going to happen in this series. I am going to just sit back, enjoy it, and hope that Miami gets swept.

You hound him for posing a hypothetical and then you do the same thing yourself.

Of course last year's team even with Granger lost to the Heat, they were a far more inexperienced team with an even more inexperienced coach. This year's Pacers, even without Granger gave Miami everything it could handle and then some, pushing the series to the brink of 'win or go home.' Granger would've been another threat, he would've opened up the floor more and provide a defensive presence that wasn't there in some games.

If Granger would've been in this line up, the series would've been drastically different; and signs from what we know from the series don't point to the Heat winning it in fewer games.

The way Miami plays defense they can't sustain it for every game and the whole season. You notice when Miami blows out a team that is when they play lock down defense. When they don't they can be beaten. Indiana still wouldn't have won even if they had Granger. This is still the same Miami team from last year. The Spurs are going to be a more formidable opponent than the Thunder were last year but I do think Miami is going to win because they have a deep bench.

Pretty bad assessment by you. That picture is awesome and serves no purpose than to say that David Stern sucks. I have almost no rooting interest in the NBA.

 
Mostly I use it to imply biased officiating and/or riggage, which is hard to deny exists in the NBA.
