If that was actually the correct ruling, they need to change the rulebook. I'll take the TD and everything, but that's pretty stupid...

 
I think the announcers did a pretty good job explaining it. It wasn't a "fumble" it was an incomplete backwards pass, which is a lateral, and therefore the rule that prevents advancing a fumble does not apply. Correct call, we got lucky.

 
I've never heard of being able to forward advance a fumble. and you could see coach Kill saying what's to stop a guy from throwing the ball forward?

 
I bet on the Gopher boards they are cussing out the refs and saying how do we beat the refs and the Huskers!!! Sound familiar to anyone else????? lol
