Packers almost got beat by the Bears 3rd string QB LOL
The game should have been over in the first half if they had just finished some of their possessions. How sad is it for the Bears that their 3rd string QB did waaaaay better than the first two. Their third stringer actually got them back in the game.
Shouldn't you be putting cheese on your head or whatever it is you guys do to celebrate a victory?
I don't have one but I really could use one!! Actually I really dont think I would wear one.
It was a poorly officiated game. Clearly they decided to "let them play" out there today. LOTS of holding not being called.
I agree. There were a lot of missed calls both ways during the game.
The Pack didn't convert on those possessions because the Bears were on the other side. Had little to do with the Pack, and a lot to do with solid play by the Bears. Again, if they call holding, it's a different game. Probably on both sides of the ball.
Well I think it was a combination of both. I do give the Bears defense a lot of credit for stopping the Packers after that first Packers drive. There were still a few times when Packers had 3rd or4th and short in Bears territory esp in first half where there really could have finished the game early if they could have converted. Again partly because of Bears defense and partly Packers not doing what they needed to.
All props to the Packers, though. Game considerations aside, they played a hell of a game, and they've more than done enough during the postseason to honorably represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. Beating the #1 and #2 seeds at their house in back-to-back weeks is impressive to me. They're peaking at the perfect time, and the Bears weren't.
Yea. That is a lot of what counts, getting hot at the right time. It is really amazing how the Packers have done for all the major injuries they have had especially on the defensive side of the ball. They have had a lot of guys on injury reserve.
Good luck in Dallas, Cheeseheads. I'll probably be rooting for you. :thumbs
Thanks. Should be a good name. Will be a tough game against the Steelers. You never know what can happen.
