Nebraska fans who are complaining about the calls must not be watching the game. They're CLEAR PENALTIES.  Quit with the whining and crappy attitude.  Im still not impressed with Martinez, hopefully he can turn it around.

But the penalties aren’t his and he doesn’t call the plays.

The issue is you two are looking at the call in a vacuum. Put it in context to the B1G’s stance on holding. Holds like Benhart’s aren’t generally called, and you know that. 

Both the holding calls were flat out tackles. Of course they were called. You can’t blame the refs for those. And watch NW’s OL on pass plays, of course there is some holding (there always is), but’s it’s not so frigging blatant.

Yes and no. When our opponents go two or three YEARS between holding calls, that's a reffing issue, too.

Every team has bad calls or no calls during a game if a coaching staff is in year 3 and is still being heavily penalized thats on them. If one false start or hold make your team s#!t their pants and go three and out almost every time thats on the coaches. The refs dont completely control bad blocking bad snaps and incomplete passes

Northwestern’s secondary is not experienced. Why aren’t we challenging them? These runs have gone nowhere. What happened to all those nice plays in the Ohio state game?

We’re not ready to go uptempo 

This team looks way better when they go fast paced.

AND it's been THREE years, this team had better be able to go uptempo.  Hell most teams can do it in year 1

Way too much blaming of the officials. How long has it been since we’ve had a DL that has put enough stress on the OL to cause them to hold?

The penalty issue is lack of discipline.
