*** Official Northwestern Game Discussion Thread ***

looks like Rex is hurtin a bit, maybe give our young guys a look. Cant believe that hold on baker didnt get called, ref was right there.

So are they running the short side options to set up another the reverse? Tom O. would say he likes going to the short side because their are fewer defenders but it is not working today.
That's what I remember about it. I think for the short side to work the QB has got to make the decision a lot quicker. You just can't keep riding it to the outside. Either cut if up field or pitch sooner, it's too easy for the defense to string out.

Bottom line - offense isn't even REMOTELY competent. Everybody has to pick it up. The drops, the fumbles, the slipping, the poor blocking.... absolutely unacceptable.

The only adjustments we need is to HOLD ON TO THE DAMN BALL. Besides a few plays where T-Mart may have made a bad read, we are good. Defense hell we have been very good for the last four drives. Offense needs to get it going

Defense is the only reason this game is close, A lot of people are criticizing the secondary but the defense has taken away an equal amount of turnovers our offense has given away.

That's one thing I really hope Taylor improves on in the future, he's got to make the defender commit on the option.

Made a Frisbee out of my first half DVD recording , spun it off the ground and stomped on it ...

In my mind our O line hasnt shown up today . Too many of our O line personnel are standing around after the play is dead.

We have 61 rushing yards.....against the 95th rushing defense. Good God
And we have thrown the ball 14 times....seriously? Establish some running game, especially since it is windy.
Sadly, they keep stuffing Rex. Our wrs simply have to catch the ball (and then not fumble). Either that or unleash the zone-read and mis-direction plays with Tmart.
Or give it to Ameer Abdullah or Aaron Green, I have a feeling those two are faster than anyone of that NW defense.

Do we get the wind in the 4th Q? Looks like when NW was against the wind, the defense started to look better.
