We have played well in the clutch. Not today.

Might wanna practice that onside kick at some point.

 
I don't mind the onside kick, try something different. But, did we really use a timeout for that? Wow.

Bo, Carl, and Tim got outcoached. Piss poor.

 
Well I have to give some credit to Northwestern. They played good. But I think they owe our defense a thank you note.

 
Tough game to stomach. Trying to look at the positives...

  • Taylor played ridiculously well. He had like 1 bad throw all game. Our receivers did a good job catching the football after a questionable first quarter.
  • The talent is obviously there... it just has to be developed

I do hope Beck and Brown realized how important it is for the backup running backs to get their touches, though. Rex looked exhausted out there.

 
Hopefully Iowa can beat MSU at home next week. The season is very far from over, and all the goals Nebraska wanted to attain before this game happened are still possible.

And anyone who says "we don't deserve to win the Big Ten, play in the Rose Bowl, etc." just save it.

 
I'm telling you guys NW only had to defend the run today making them look like a world beater defense. Their D is not talented enough to stop our vertical pass game. It's not like we are playing tOSU, MSU or even Wiskys D. At least when everyone found out when they were selling out at ALL COSTS to stop the run, its pretty obvious that whenever Beck wanted to pass the Wildcats couldn't stop it. It sucks to see this and it doesn't explain the poor play of the D as well as the turnovers, BUT I hope we all see Beck's inexperience rear its nasty head. We knew NW was going to score points so you have to keep scoring to change NWs offensive playcalling philosophy. Oh well, lets become the biggest Hawkeye fans next Saturday.

 
I can't wait to hear Bo's excuse for this weeks game. I am so pissed right now at the play calling on both sides of the ball. The players on defense should be ashamed of themselves and take those blackshirts and give them to the fans, at least they deserve them, they are the only ones who actually showed up.

 
I will say the actual biggest play wasn't Rex's fumble or Quincey's but the 4th and 2 stop early in the third. Ran the same play that had been blown up all day. A chance to get a stronghold on this one, and Tim Watson dials up garbage.

You've gotta watch out for Northwestern. Definitely a potential trap game; there's a reason they make a run at the conference championship every decade or so. I can tell you from experience as a Buckeye fan they're definitely a team that can bite you if you let them hang around too long.
