***Official Purdue Game Discussion Thread***

Nebraska needs to commit to running the ball on first down.

Last week versus Purdue, Iowa's first down rushing yards I believe averaged out to over 300 yards rushing...all on first down!

 
Please tell me someone saw that bama hit!!!! No targeting call. But gerry gets ejected for petty crap.

 
Apparently every team is always going to fake the punt, no matter what their previous tendencies are or where they are on the field. So we may as well not have a punt returner in there. It's not like our punt returner is any good, anyway.

 
Yet another punt goes unfielded and rolls back to our deep end of the field. We need to catch and return punts. If we catch that and return for even 6 yards, we are starting near the 24 instead of the 10. Those add up to a bunch of yards of field position over a season of them. We've priobably wasted about 250 yards of field position conservatively already in just 6.25 games.

Also, while I'm on this, any team we play against can just pretend they're going to fake punt so that we don't set up a return with one of our best weapons.
