Carter's a great blocker and Westy is a clutch receiver who knows where to go to get open. Our other star receivers don't seem to even be in the game.

Hasn't this OL been graded very highly by objective third party observers? Gates in particular.

Could struggles this game be due to extremely unimaginative play calling that allows the D to tee off on guys?

It was at first, but it dropped off. But you're right, this uncreative run game isn't helping injuries.

While Cunningham is sitting there crediting Pelini with all the talent he brought on, he fails to identify the fact that we have 3 walk-ons starting on our Oline right new due to his recruiting. It's one thing if those walk-ons were solid, but they are not. Regardless, I'm still not concerned about this game.

At least one highly recruited OL left under Riley.

And sorry, most teams can't stack a 3 deep of 4* recruits.

We have plenty of talent in the field today to be better than we are showing.
