Why do we run it straight down the middle so often? I still don’t get it.

Because it goes against 'Dorf's religious beliefs to run to the boundary unless the WR is carrying the ball.

Granted, it's early...but we really don't look good out there so far...stupid penalties, no push by the O-line, poor play selection (where are those TEs, anyway?), and Purdue looks like the team that "wants" this game more.
