First Half Observations:

  • A lot to like about that first half, except for the game management during the last 2 minutes
  • Frost finally opened the playbook this week, especially with the running game. Saw quite a few plays with pulling linemen.
  • Chinander is calling a brilliant game so far, and his players are executing. His third down calls in particular are really confusing Perdue's O-Line. We keep lining up like we are going to rush 4, but will have one of those four bale late, where it only is a 3-man rush, and we are constantly changing who is dropping.
  • The streak is finally over!!! Big Ten refs actually do know how to recogize and call a holding penalty on a Nebraska opponent. Took them long enough.

Things I would like to see in the Second Half:

  1. Keep the foot on the gas.
  2. Ground and pound with our backs & Adrian to suck Purdue's linebackers down, and then keep hitting Wan'Dale on those crossing routes where the linebackers vacated.
  3. Defense just keep doing what you're doing, and set the tone for the rest of the team to follow.

So far this was a good first half.  I just worry we don't have a big enough lead as we are not a 2nd half team and our opponents usually make better adjustments than we do at halftime. Let's hope the Huskers can hang on and pull this win out.

Good move by Frost to end the half that way, Adrian just needs to execute.

Frost needs to take that scripted first drive of the game and use it to start the second half.

I've been in Frost's corner more than a lot of guys here but in no universe do you take two shots in that situation.  You're up three scores getting the ball first in the second half.  Take one shot ok, then can it.
