***Official QB Controversy Thread***

Former walk-on small town Ne QB and a small town NE center both starting?

Oh my god...Porn for Husker fans!

If the Huskers ever get a kid from the Nebraska town with the population of 1...good lord...it will be like Xmas, B-day, 4th of July and free Porn Hub day all rolled into one.
Where's the kicker?

“Noah’s been biding his time in our program as a coaching staff for a long time,” Frost said. “It's great to see him get his chance. I wish it wasn’t under the circumstances it was under, but he made the most of it. I think he made a couple plays when we needed him to, and we'll see where we are going into next week.

"Hopefully, it's Adrian. If it isn't then Noah will be ready."

Did you see the way Vedral fielded the over the head snap play? If high snaps are going to be a part of our offense, then Noah’s our man.

But Pornhub is already free.

Perhaps I'm in the minority here, but i thought Martinez played pretty well yesterday. If receivers catch balls that hit their hands, we probably win by 10-14. And that's in heavy winds against a stout, well coached defense. I find people bailing on AM to be insane.
Agreed. I saw a few mistakes from him, but overall, he wasn’t the reason that the offense was having trouble.

People should have to blow into one of those alcohol testing devices before being allowed to post.  Vedral is a great kid with a lot of heart but nowhere near the caliber of AM.  We have a pile if deficiencies that all contribute to play that isn't good at times.... But it's not all on AM.  Our fan base needs more patience and a reality check.  8-4 over the last 12 games is good progress.  Beating NW who just gave Wisconsin their only challenge of the year is good progress.  Quit believing every snippet the media feeds you.  This rebuild is going to be 3-5 years.  GBR

I think people have to relax regarding Noah Vedral. If he gets to play the entire game against Minnesota, then we can start to draw comparisons with Martinez once that game is over. I want to see how Vedral handles 4 quarters of football before I call him the second coming of Joe Ganz, lol.

I think that’s pretty fair.

And I really like Vedral.  I stated several times that I wished Nebraska would have gone after him out of high school.  He’s a great athlete and a legitimate QB.

I don’t expect Martinez to play Saturday and I expect Vedral to play well. But I doubt any of that will change my belief that Martinez should be the starter.  We’ve already seen plenty out of Martinez to know he’s a special player.  And there are too many extenuating circumstances to put as much blame on him as many are.  He’s all of three games removed from putting up one of the best offensive games we’ve seen in years if not decades (yardage-wise).

I agree. He's deceptively fast when he runs the ball. He also appears to be a "quick blinker" and went through his reads pretty fast against NW. Given the situation he was put in, it was pretty impressive. I'll remain cautiously optimistic until after the Minnesota game. I think Martinez is just a more electric/dynamic athlete. There is no denying that. I think he's got some mental struggles going on.

I don't think he trusts his offensive line and Jurgens very much. Everything just seems out of sync on offense. It's apparent that he's not on the same page as his receivers either. People forget, Adrian is still just a true sophomore. I'm not ready to give up on him. I think it's premature at this point. SF knows a thing or two about adversity as QB1. I don't see a controversy here. I see a backup QB being asked to do his job by stepping up for an injured starter.

What would make me climax isn't pornhub.  It's a CENTER WHO CAN SNAP THE BALL TO THE QB AND NOT 6 INCHES ABOVE HIM.

Bad snaps derail plays. Question is at what point do you quit blaming bad snaps on Cam being green and have to admit it's just a thing with him?  If the problem persists through the season he needs to be a guard in 2020.  We can always move Hixson, Wilson, or big Farniok(assuming Benhart is ready) to center. We also have a stud in Ethan Piper coming up.
