I still blame this one on the momentum change at the end of the first half. We are up 21-3 and get the ball back with :57 seconds and suddenly revert to a conservative plan, go 3 and out and allow UCLA to make some big plays and kick a field goal. They miss but they go into the locker room with some confidence and energy where as we were on our heels just trying to stop them on those last few plays.
They come out in the seconds half and keep the momentum going, we go conservative once again. Suddenly, we forget we have 3 awesome running backs and have Martinez pass the entire time. A few more 3 and outs and UCLA scores in a row and game over.
If we would have kept that momentum in the first half going, maybe even tried to get a field goal at the end of the first half, different game and story. Obviously there are other factors and scenarios, but this is when the game changed...

I don't believe he will make these changes and he will himself be shown the door. He's just too damn stubborn.

I certainly wouldn't pencil in the game against Northwestern as a Win just yet.

Cross has looked great, but yet we don't see him much. I'd have to assume the coaches see more in Ameer from week to week... but then again the coaches aren't really earning my trust right now...

Six and a half minutes off the clock by UCLA on that possession. Exactly when Bo's defense couldn't afford to. Well, three TDs in the last 2 minutes. Or even an FG.
Just heard Bo owns the most points scored against NU at home. Mizzou in 2008 (52) and this one. Great job staff. Great job.

Like I said, we're fairly lenient on game days, but there's a line. The point of posting it publicly is to hope it gets read and more people understand.
Our job is not to dole out punishment. It's to keep things civil and that's the only reason for such a notice. Some guys'll slip through the cracks but most get the picture.

Hooray for reverting to the old Bo Pelini coached teams right before our eyes. Penalties penalties penalties and piss poor defense.

Sadly I agree. Lack of zone read has hurt his yards. His stats have been good but he has really been average with one big run in the first two games to make his stats look better.
