As a prelude to the game, has anyone noticed the Arkansas game for today? They played Vandy. Vandy, which lost their starting quarterback to the first round of the NFL. Vandy, who is dead last in the SEC standings in the East, and is picked at or near the bottom of the overall SEC.
Arkansas won by a field goal, and had the Vandy kicker been a tad more accurate on the last minute 48-yard field goal, Vandy would have sent it into overtime.
This is the same Arkansas team that beat Utah State by only 20-0.
Folks, if USC is judging themselves by the way they handled Arkansas, they need to be concerned. Arkansas looks to be about as poor as last year, and managed to hang with USC for the first half - even after giving them 2 fumbles and an interception in that half.
I'm thinking that USC might be in for a surprise...
