Striking Gold - The storm was at our backs heading east, but the warm glow of the setting sun through the rain was too stunning to avoid. I framed the power lines and huddled with @madisherry91 under the open hatchback hoping for a bolt. Sometimes things just work out. I’ll hold on to this one for a long time.

some incredible pictures out of japan.  they are calling this the most powerful super typhoon of this century (whatever that means)



edit to add....they also were hit with an earthquake last night.   whose wheaties did they whiz in to deserve all that?
