Something I worry about is whether the altitude of Laramie is going to put a dent in the 4th quarter rolling that the Huskers have been doing. I was hoping that they'd get out to a big, early lead.

 
Cooper is best suited for safety. I think I would rather see Andrew play CB and go through the growing pains. Too bad Josh didn't make the trip. Surprised they don't give Bell or Washington a shot.

 
People should settle down. The defense has looked better, even as the coaches are still trying to figure out who needs to the the cornerback opposite Dennard. The offense has moved the ball pretty well too, but it's killed itself with mistakes. The series where Taylor missed 3 open receivers in a row, the holding penalty on Caputo, the false start on Kenny Bell, the "missed" field goal... They'll settle down and execute in the second half and pull away.

Yeah that's been the excuse for 4 weeks now. Wisconsin has had no problem dismantling their opponents so far. I keep waiting for the D to improve but we just haven't. Poor tackling, poor recognition of plays, poor secondary coverage, poor dline play and we haven't played an offense anywhere close to the calibur of wisconsin's.

And that is the difference between Wisconsin and us. They can put away cream puffs. You think that makes them a superior football team? No. It doesn't.

Poor recognition of plays? They broke one slant... They have scored one touchdown. I'm okay with giving up one touchdown each half, aren't you?

I see a lot of improvement from the defense scheme wise, still a little shoddy tackling. But I'm sure that'll get fixed.

It's all in the way you percieve things. One TD per half is fine...but we've been missing tackles. A lot. I don't remember us missing this many tackles since 08. Wisconsin IS a superior football team right now. They are playing like one. So I don't know why Husker fans suddenly EXPECT us to raise our level. Anything can happen but for 4 weeks now the defense would've been shredded by Wisconsin's offense. But yeah I'm sure everything will click next week.

 
If want to win this game:

1. Offensive line needs to show up, we aren't gonna win if taylor is getting chased down by 3 guys every pass play

2. Secondary needs to wrap up and cover

3. Martinez needs to be accurate

what I mean is we need to start playing to our potential. Ugly wins against inferior opponents may get u to 4-0, but probably leads to 4-2 after 2 more games. Wiscy will embarass us.
