OH THE HYPOCRACY OF IT ALL.........

Ah the 90's. We see it as the hay day. But most think of Florida State during those years. Man that hurts doesn't it?

But reality is some of us are very spoiled. They only started caring or knowing during the 90's Some might evne say bandwagon esque. Some of us have been around longer and remember the screams about not winning the big one. Damn those Florida Schools are fast. Frippen Oklahoma.

Things change. But we still have Nebraska. Not quite the shining star in some minds, but still the most important one to me. Some measure only by wins and losses. Sad to really miss the whole idea. We are making progress, that is all anyone can really ask. We were on the field with some of the best in the land this year, and though we never won the big ones, the kids fought to the end. Finish the job, is job one. I never felt we quit this year. It was a feeling I had way too many times in the recent past. That is not Nebraska no matter who is coaching. I see the fire of the Bob Father at times, and I also see the mild mannered, straight jaw of Tom Osborne occasionally.

Be happy with what we have it may never get any better, but at as long as the effort is made to the enth degree I will be happy.

landon, 90% of the people who post on this site wont agree callahan has done his job until we 13-0 two or three years in a row, most expect it to happen right away. It doesn't work like that, and anyone with any understanding of the game would and should know that. Marlon is a great back. Especially for just finishing up his sophomore year. WOW! some of the big time programs would of loved to have him on their roster. If we didn't have more than one good RB, we wouldn't be doing this unecessary criticizing of Marlon. Everyone needs to give BC and Marlon and all the skers a break. WE ARE HEADED IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION!!
No, not really. I just want a solid season without 5 losses, not "13-0 two or three years in a row". I just want the Huskers to beat some good teams and have an overall successful year. I don't think Callahan will ever lead Nebraska to an undefeated record, but he might win a Big 12 title or two.
