Ohio St Stats Comparison

Hard to interpret the stats since you forgot to include any in your post......

Edit: you fixed it, so now my post looks weird. Thanks, Obama!

Well, from the looks of it we will just have to hope our kick off return game can keep us afloat.

OSU is top 10 in scoring offense, top 20 in total offense, 8th in rushing offense? Fire Tim Beck.
but what's their trend? Lately? Not discounting their competition. But just like last year, with all that talent, they seem to really be flatlining again. obviously Herman was a wiz for them. Lotta time you dont know how good a guy is till hes gone. But it's two years in a row that under Beck, their qb's seem to be flatlining. Stats dont always tell the whole story. They started off real hot. Wisconsin, Penn St, and Northwestern really slowed them down. And yeah, my disdain for Beck may be causing me to ignore some facts that say he probably isnt quite as bad as I want him to be. I can admit it.

OSU is a team that runs fairly simple stuff and relies on its superior talent to carry them to victory. Right now that superior talent is off. There offensive line is not playing real well, they are a little young and right now they are not clicking. Barrett is off, he is not throwing the ball real well right now. He is missing guys. He might be a little dinged up and Urban is not talking. Defensively they look like they can be run on some. Wisconsin had a lot of success running against them and NW had quite a bit of success.

The problem is that they can get well real quickly.

And here's where #FourFifty wins us the game.

If we have any possibility to win it, special teams might be where it happens. They seem to have a slight weakness there. That and penalties. We need to play smart and clean in order to have a chance.
I think the defense can and most likely will keep NU in the game. TA needs to have a good game, probably the best game he has had all year for NU to win. He needs a nice day throwing the ball and running the ball. I don't mean he needs 300 passing and 100 rushing, but he needs a lot better game than he played against Wisconsin.
