but what's their trend? Lately? Not discounting their competition. But just like last year, with all that talent, they seem to really be flatlining again. obviously Herman was a wiz for them. Lotta time you dont know how good a guy is till hes gone. But it's two years in a row that under Beck, their qb's seem to be flatlining. Stats dont always tell the whole story. They started off real hot. Wisconsin, Penn St, and Northwestern really slowed them down. And yeah, my disdain for Beck may be causing me to ignore some facts that say he probably isnt quite as bad as I want him to be. I can admit it.

I think the defense can and most likely will keep NU in the game. TA needs to have a good game, probably the best game he has had all year for NU to win. He needs a nice day throwing the ball and running the ball.
