Did anyone happen to catch the post-game radio comments? Just curious what Miles said about Almeida injury.

Why the heck hasn't he played all year? First hit a nice hook shot then a legit 18 foot fade away over his defender.

I believe they were trying to redshirt him. To me, the fact that they pulled the "shirt" with just a few minutes left in this blowout says Almeida has an injury worse than we hoped.

He played 1 min in the first game of the year and 1 min against Creighton and 4 mins tonight. I have no idea what the RS requirements are so I don't know if minimal appearances would of mattered.

Well, with that workload he should be well-rested!

Seriously, he looked better than I recalled from those early brief appearances and I think if we believe Smiles is only going to continually upgrade the recruiting every year, we need his minutes (and potential scoring) NOW.

He said "significant sprain."

The OWH had an article that Almeida is listed as questionable for the Wisconsin game on Sunday. If we do want to make the NIT, this is a game we have to have - hopefully, the extra day of the game being on Sunday helps.
