Ohio State @ Northwestern

Wow, I'm impressed with this interest and support. You guys are football gamers. Thanks to you fans who tuned in and cheered on and glad this was a close one, not a blow out. Disappointed with yet another 4th quarter fade, but I didn't expect it to be the game it was. Urban was glad to escape this "12 rounder". Hopefully da Bears can keep up with the high octane Saints tomorrow and the Cats can make Wisconsin nervous next week.
I'm nervous about the game and would be even if OSU had blown you out tonight. You guys almost play us well and seeing as how we've been trading games for the past decade we're set to lose this one if the pattern holds. Our only saving grace may be the bye and playing at Randall. It should be a good one.

Exactly how do we have ties to recruits in Jersey and Pennsylvania and Virginia? Second, these areas aren't exactly known for being recruiting hotbeds AT ALL. Let me go find !my recruit demographic data.

Hilariously misguided if you belive that Ohio recruits are going to lead Nebraska back to the glory days. Not to mention that the national perception of the B1G is HORRIBLE. Utterly horrible. Yeah, we're in a great spot from a fan's perspective!

But hey, as a ticket-holding, university-supporting citizen, I'm supposed to accept the fact that my university is making tons of $$$$$$$$$$$$!!!! Go them!

Yeah Percy Harvin, Michael Vick, Terrelle Pryor, etc,etc

Please go look up how many players Bama and LSU have offered from Virginia, Pennsylvania and New Jersey the past 5 years. lol #1 and #2 recruits are from those states
ANECDOTAL EVIDENCE FTW

If you don't follow recruiting just say so.

The Maryland/DC/Virginia area is immensely talented. end of story. It doesn't have the depth of Florida but the top tier can hang with anyone

Wisconsin runs for miles on Northwestern.

Follow my link, dumbass

NEBRASKA isn't going to be able to go into Maryland or Jersey or Virginia or New York or Pennsylvania and some how find enough recruits who are willing to come to LINCOLN, NEBRASKA to top Ohio State or Michigan or any SEC teams in order to compete for a championship. Are you kidding me?

We have ZERO local base. We have to be able to go into other areas to get our recruits. And we used to have a hotbed area that we could exploit. We no longer have that.

Ohio State has Ohio/Michigan recruiting bases.. Michigan has Ohio/Michigan. Both are bigger national brands than Nebraska and can beat us out for national recruits. So how are we supposed to beat them?

But if we were in the Big 12, we would be able too? We have a better shot at landing those players now then we did before because we are playing games closer to the areas.

I'm speechless

We'll see. I'm giving it the same forecast I incorrectly gave tonight's game. Either UW wins big or NU wins close. I'm just not confident in Wisconsin's ability to win close games in the fourth quarter...that being said, Northwestern also seems to have that problem.

We will never beat OSU and Mich for top recruits in the Midwest just like we couldn't beat out Texass and OU for recruits in Texas. Our recruiting base is national, always has been.

FIFY
You fixed that real well

And good luck getting national recruits to play in the Big Ten.

I hope you're getting it now.
