Ohio State's Fraudulent 23 Game Winning Streak

OSU would get owned by mid tier SEC teams let alone their best teams in the conference. As for the streak it's pretty obvious it's a majorly padded record given the competition.

Hopefully we find out. I'd love to see a Big 10 team win it all, but I don't think a lot of people outside the Big 10 think OSU could compete with Bama.

Here's the thing. If OSU gets really lucky and somehow gets to play Alabama and then gets owned....ummm...how embarrassing would that be for the Big 10 as a whole? It would not be good.

If they get beaten soundly by a team that is being proclaimed as the greatest dynasty ever in college football? I think they'll just say it's obvious that the SEC is the best conference.

I think that's a pretty obvious conclusion. My point is it (would) drives home the point that the Big 10 isn't nearly as good as the SEC. I'm talking about the Big 10 conferences 'image' here.

That is an absurd statement.
After watching Ohio State struggle to beat Northwestern earlier this year not to mention Iowa it's pretty much not.

Yes, it still is. College football logic, or lack thereof, is always fascinating.

Look I can't stand Ohio State or their fans but I am glad to be in the conference with them. Right now they're the only team not living off the past in terms of success as they have their little run going and they're highly ranked. They're the standout team of the Big 10. I'm just not impressed when it comes to the competition they've played. It's not their fault but it is what it is. Maybe they do play Alabama well who knows.

To be fair, Northwestern was actually pretty good until injuries decimated them (started right after the game). They had almost everyone back from a ten win team that beat an SEC team pretty bad in their bowl game. tOSU's streak is certainly padded to an extent, but writing them off as a paper tiger doesn't entirely seem fair.

Too bad OSU couldn't find out since Vanderbilt cancelled on them.

You mean a healthy Northwestern. They're down 20 players since they played Ohio State.

Mid tier SEC sucks this year, the top tier is mediocre bar the Gumps. OSU should be able to spank their SEC opponent this year even though playing on the road.

In that case, Florida State should be held to the same standard. They've beaten 1 good team this year, who I doubt is all that good at all. (Clemson)
Ouch. I knew we weren't a #3 team, but I really don't think we're that bad. We did beat a healthy Georgia team before all of their injuries.

Ohio State beat a healthy Northwestern too, but you don't see anyone excusing them after 20 different players are out with injuries.
I'm not excusing them, but they didn't have near the year they would have without those injuries. Noone can question that.

That's my point. Northwestern was well on their way to a possible 10+ win season until injuries hit them. And now everyone uses Northwestern as a reason OSU shouldn't be in the NC hunt.
