Ok so... what do Starkville and Oxford have that Lincoln doesn't?

So often I hear Nebraska fans use the "geographically disadvantaged" excuse. Starkville and Oxford are just two more examples of places where kids are willing to go, due to the respective programs having excellent coaches and recruiters.

I certainly don't, but that's the excuse I've heard for years from the mouths of Nebraska fans. "Oh, there's nothing to do here" "It's too cold" etc.

Nebraska was ranked #5 after five games in 2010. Being highly ranked early in the season isn't that difficult. Let's see where they're ranked at the end. My guess is quite a bit down the ladder.

MS State has beaten 3 straight Top 5 teams. Their schedule is brutal. That's the ONLY reason why they might not finish high in the polls. If we had their schedule we'd finish with a losing record.

This is an absurd claim. MS consistently ranks in the top 5 (if not 3) highest per-capita D-1 football player producing states.
