Damian Jackson. Navy SEAL. Walk on Husker. Man killing, meat eating, blood-lust Husker MACHINE.  Where is he???  If anyone on this roster know's the Scott Frost mentality of work hard / play hard,  eat THRU your  opponent, play til the third whistle, eat guts, it's GOTTA be this kid.  Did he play in 2017?

He had never played football in his life before walking on, and we know nothing about his athletic ability. It's possible to have great measurables for football but not be good at football. If he didn't play it's because he wasn't good enough. Maybe he will be before he graduates.

Are people really counting on a twenty-something walk-on who has barely any football experience to make a deep impact on the team?  It's a great story, and I appreciate his service as a Navy SEAL, but I wouldn't put him in the top half of the roster.

I wouldn't think that people would expect instant contribution, however, i personally thought maybe he could single-handedly infuse some leadership and toughness into the team.

He has the ability to teach/show a "never quit attitude".  In the days of participation trophies and kids believing they will immediately excel, his reality (IMHO) would be appreciated in the Frost locker room.

Everyone has a role when they are apart of a team. I don't think his role has much to do, or at the least not expected, to be on the playing field. I think his hard work and his mentality will shine under Frost and this current coaching staff.
